Ovarian Cancer
There are many different cells in the tissue of the eggs, but the main structure is formed by cells called epithelium. While ovarian cancers in the elderly mostly (80%) originate from epithelial cells, in younger ages (60%) they originate from remnant cells of the embryonic period.
If ovarian cancer is caught at an early stage and treated appropriately, they are cured 80-90%. The first option in the treatment of such patients is surgery. After surgery, chemotherapy is applied. In the early stages of the disease, an operation called staging surgery is performed with the removal of the tumor. The response of the disease to treatment is directly proportional to the extent of the tumor. In women, vaginal fluid decreases due to estrogen hormone deficiency and vaginal dryness occurs due to this.
